Here is a summary of all the corrections and improvements made to Cognibox on June 28, as previously announced.

Migration of technological infrastructure to Amazon EC2

A few days ago, we informed you that Cognibox was transferring to Cloud Computing. This is an important enhancement for the software which will not, however, change how it works but improve its level of performance and stability.

Opening documents in a new window

Access to documents will trigger the opening of a new browser window. Accessing documents will now go on to open a new browser window. This takes care of a usability problem expressed by many of our customers who saw themselves taken out of the application while only wanting to close the viewing window of a document. You can now close the window you were consulting and find below it your Cognibox interface at the place you were (at) prior to opening the document.

Return key to account management

A return key towards account management was added and this throughout the entire application. This corrects the problem of having to use the browser’s «backspace».

Dynamic FAX page

The fax page now automatically displays all the documents required by the contractor which avoids having to recopy all the documents sent to customer service by hand.

These new features are explained and demonstrated in our user guides.

Correction of bugs

Several glitches and irritants have also been fixed:

• When validating a candidacy, the name of the validator did not appear.
• When validating a candidacy, the current date was not automatically entered in the records.
• When validating a candidacy, no reminder date was automatically registered.
  A default date (24 months following validation) will be included in the record from now on.
• The Cognibox.ca domain name did not redirect correctly to Cognibox.net in certain circumstances.
• The scoreboard chart linked to environmental incidents did not always appear correctly.
• The “pending” status (yellow triangle) was always assigned by default to all new contractors and for all prime contractors. From now one, the pending status will apply for an official assignment of a contractor by a prime contractor.
• The alphabetical sorting in the search engine generated errors for case-sensitive characters (uppercase/lowercase).
• The link opening the validation calendar would bring us back to the top of the page.
• Certain tables would not appear in the printable report of the qualification file.
• There were various problems related to incorrect or missing displays.
• There were various calculation problems at the scoring algorithm level.
